Wardrobes and dressing rooms

A wardrobe might be the most unassuming piece of furniture in the house. Its job is to take in the clutter of a household and give a room a sense of calm.

When made bespoke, it can absorb the awkward features of a room and square off an entire wall.

We’ve built wardrobes of every kind: full walk-in dressing rooms, runs that stretch wall-to-wall, wardrobes that climb into the eaves of a loft and joinery that wraps around a chimney breast.

We design them around the specific needs of each customer. Coats, shirts, folded knitwear and shoes all require different heights and depths of storage, so we plan the interior around the way you actually dress rather than a standard fit-out.

Plywood is the ideal material for the job, with integrated hanging rails that carry substantial weights. Plywood’s cross-laminated construction keeps everything straight and square, and it takes a hinge or a drawer runner properly, so that everything stays aligned and works properly.

The inside is where our wardrobes really impress. Hanging space from floor to ceiling for coats and long dresses, half-height for shirts with shelves for folded knits, drawers for what you’d rather not see and open shelves for what you like to grab-and-go, with room down below for shoes. We design different combinations of these details to suit your style.

Fitted wardrobes shut the day’s mess away behind a clean run of doors, which present an opportunity…a large, unbroken face is a good canvas for colour, so a wardrobe can be the boldest thing in the room or disappear into the wall entirely, whichever complements the space and is right for you.

Get started. No matter how modest your vision or grand your design, it all starts with a conversation.
